Climate change poses serious implications for both human and natural systems, potentially affecting resource availability, economic activity, and overall human wellbeing. ISO 14064-1:2018 provides standardized guidelines for organizations such as MDS to accurately quantify, calculate, and report greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals at the organizational level. MDS currently measures its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions on an annual basis and plans to initiate the measurement of Scope 3 emissions starting in 2025.
